Believed to have been developed in China in the 12th century, the final production process that we have today was developed in Europe beginning in the 14th century. WANO Schwarzpulver has been producing black powder since 1682. Due to the slow pressure buildup, black powder is ideal for use in firearms, fireworks, pyrotechnics, and blasting dimensional stone (granite & marble).
