Jerry Starlin –
I have had my new rifle for 3 months love it. Better than the 35 Whelen. The 232g onyx bullet works numbers on all the game I have tried it on. All one-shot kills. I shot a ferrel hog back end on and the bullet stopped just under the skin on its chest. Damaged everything, the pig fell on its face dead. Others I will try are the 250g , and the 270g bullets I may try solids to decrease meat damage or those monolithic bullets. I would wish that Sauer would offer upgrades to the 101. Things like a Walnut stock, checkering of different grades, fore end tip, and grip cap. But that would defeat the object of the entry level rifle. Thanks Sportsman
